Women In Property What is The Association of Women in Property? A national not for profit organisation that seeks to enhance the profile of women in the still male dominated construction and property sector, both by providing a dynamic forum for women in these professions and by encouraging and nurturing aspiring newcomers. What does Women in Property do? As an organisation we organise and run over 400 professional and networking events each year, encouraging continual professional development and industry know-how. At a regional and national level we’re actively involved in supporting girls and young women who are considering entering the industry. This is undertaken through our attendance at school careers events with our roadshow programme, the production of a careers leaflet and the launch, in 2007, of our National Student Awards. Who are its members? The Association has over 900 members nationwide, representing all disciplines across the industry, from surveying to architecture, planning to engineering. https://www.womeninproperty.org.uk/   FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Can I come on my own? Sure, lots of people come to their first Property Sports Network events on their own.  It's a great place to meet new business contacts from different circles to your own. What to wear? We recommend shorts (with nets) for men and a t-shirt. Women should wear gym kit – legging/shorts and vest top. Remember, it does get sweaty. What to bring? Just plenty of water, business cards, and a towel to lay on your mat. You can borrow a towel from Hotpod if you forget. Does the venue provide mats? Yes, mats are provided – you’re welcome to bring your own, but there’s one there waiting for you (for free), just be sure to bring a towel to lay on your mat. Do you have showers? Yes this studios has lovely showers, but not all do so check in advance.  Should I eat beforehand? Try not to eat within an hour before class. What’s the purpose of the pod? The pod allows us to create a wonderful hot yoga studio anywhere. It’s an amazing, tranquil environment to practice yoga. And we like inflatables – doesn’t everyone?! How hot does it get and why? 37ºc. The heat makes the heart and lungs work a little harder – helping you burn more calories, and giving you a great cardio workout. Warmth also increases flexibility – easing joints and muscles and helping prevent injury. Sweating also helps us eliminate toxins, cleansing the body.  Can I do hotpod yoga while pregnant? Unfortunately not. The heat makes it quite high exertion and raises the body temperature – both not entirely safe when pregnant. So, we recommend finding a great pregnancy yoga class and then coming to see us after the baby’s born!! Are there refunds? There are no refunds for the event unless it is cancelled by the organiser, in which case a full refund will take place.  If you have any questions please email us at info@propertysportsnetwork.com Property Sports Networking Building fitness, wellbeing and your network.
